Like so many businesses across the country, COVID-19 has had a big impact on our Newport branch. It has been challenging to provide the best urgent and emergency vet cover for our clients whilst maintaining a safe working environment for our clients, their pets and our practice colleagues.
It is therefore with regret that we have taken the difficult decision to make the temporary closure of Newport, permanent as at 30th July 2021. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
What this means for our clients
We confirm that client accounts with their pet’s clinical histories are held within the secure Medina Vets database, accessible by the teams at both Wootton and Pet Doctors Newport. This enables us to continue to give care to our clients’ pets, without interruptions or delay.
Wootton is open on Saturday mornings and Pet Doctors Newport is open until 5pm on Saturdays giving a greater availability of appointments. The Isle of Wight Emergency Vet is also based at Pet Doctors Newport offering emergency cover overnight, weekends and Bank Holidays. The teams at both sites are more than happy to welcome our Newport clients and their pets.
Find out more about more information about Wootton here or visit the Pet Doctors website for more information on Pet Doctors Newport and the additional services available.
Healthy Pet Club
Membership of The Healthy Pet Club will automatically transfer to Medina Wootton together with details of client accounts. Clients can continue to enjoy their usual discounts and savings at either Medina Wootton or Pet Doctors Newport.
Please note: there will be a change in the Healthy Pet Club reference number, which will show as different on client bank statements for the monthly direct debit. For any concerns regarding membership, or those wishing to transfer it to Pet Doctors Newport, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
